How to check an AI answer

AI can help you understand terms and write your questions down. Its answers can also be out of date or wrong, and they sound just as sure either way. These five questions help you check.

Larger text, shorter lines, fewer blocks, no animation.

  1. Does it name a source?

Ask for the link or the registry number, then open it yourself. An AI can write a reference that does not exist.

  2. Is there a date?

Treatments and trials change quickly. Check how old the source is, and whether a trial is still open.

  3. Does it give a trial phase, or only say "promising"?

A result in cells or mice says little about people. Look for the phase, and for how many people took part.

  4. Does it match the guidelines where you live?

National and European guidelines show what doctors treat with today. If the answer differs, ask your doctor why.

  5. What does the Frontlight page say?

Our disease pages show registry and publication facts, each with its source and date. Compare the two.

An AI answer is a good reason for a question to your doctor. Show them what it said.

Not medical advice. Talk to your care team before you change anything in your treatment. Do not put off treatment while you read.
