Multicomponent Group Parent Program Incorporating Naturalistic Teaching in Türkiye

A Randomized Trial of a Multicomponent Group Parent Program Incorporating Naturalistic Teaching for Caregivers of Autistic Children in Türkiye

Source: ClinicalTrials.gov · Last updated 9 Oct 2026

Brief summary (registry, in English)

This randomized study examined a 10-session multicomponent group parent program incorporating Naturalistic Teaching principles for caregivers of autistic children enrolled in preschool or early intervention services in Türkiye. Twenty-four caregivers were randomized in a 1:1:1 ratio to the multicomponent group parent program, a single-session general parenting comparison seminar, or a wait-list control. Parental self-efficacy was assessed at baseline and post-test in all three study arms using two subscales: Accessing Services and Supports and Parenting Strategies. An approximately 9-month follow-up assessment was conducted in the intervention arm only. The present analyses examine between-group change in the two parental self-efficacy domains, while post-test retention and intervention-session attendance are summarized descriptively as study-process indicators.
