Medical Management vs Partial Revascularization in Diffuse Multivessel Coronary Artery Disease
Comparison of Clinical Outcome of Medical Management vs Partial Revascularization in Patients of Multivessel Diffuse Coronary Artery Disease Not Suitable for CABG: A Randomized Controlled Trial.
Source: ClinicalTrials.gov · Last updated 8 Oct 2026
Brief summary (registry, in English)
This randomized controlled trial will compare the clinical outcomes of partial revascularization with percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) versus optimal medical therapy (OMT) alone in patients with diffuse multivessel coronary artery disease who are not suitable for complete surgical or percutaneous revascularization. A total of 140 eligible patients will be randomized into two groups. The partial revascularization group will undergo PCI of the left anterior descending artery, while the control group will receive guideline-directed optimal medical therapy. Patients will be followed for 12 months, with major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) and Canadian Cardiovascular Society (CCS) angina class assessed at 3, 6, and 12 months.
