Brief summary (registry, in English)
Educational interventions play an extensive role in the literature on hypertension disease management. It has been reported that patient education practices increase individuals' level of knowledge, improve sleep and quality of life, ensure the control of hypertension, are effective in developing self-management skills, reduce body weight and body mass index, are effective in controlling harmful lifestyle habits, increase treatment adherence and healthy lifestyle behaviors, improve health literacy and self-efficacy levels, positively affect rational medication use, and strengthen adaptation to the disease. Accordingly, educational interventions for patients with hypertension play a fundamental role in improving treatment success and long-term health outcomes by supporting individuals' active participation in disease management. However, most studies conducted in the context of hypertension have focused on medication adherence, blood pressure control, or the physiological effects of lifestyle changes. In contrast, no study examining the effects of educational interventions for disease management on the health perception and burnout levels of individuals with hypertension has been found in the literature. The aim of this study is to determine the effects of disease management education provided to individuals diagnosed with hypertension on their health perception and burnout levels. The study aims to provide practical implications for both individual patient outcomes (psychosocial variables) and healthcare practices (the planning and implementation of patient education programs).
