The Effects of Synchronous and Asynchronous Pilates Training Based on Telerehabilitation on Core Stabilization, Balance, Cognitive Functions, and Quality of Life in Individuals With Multiple Sclerosis: A Single-Blind Randomized Controlled Trial
Source: ClinicalTrials.gov · Last updated 26 Oct 2026
Brief summary (registry, in English)
This study will compare live video-based and prerecorded video-based Pilates programs in 38 adults aged 18-65 years with multiple sclerosis. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of two groups. The live-session group will exercise with a physiotherapist twice a week for eight weeks, with sessions lasting 45-60 minutes. The prerecorded-video group will follow an exercise program matched in intensity and progressed every two weeks, using an exercise tracking form. Trunk muscle performance, balance, thinking and memory, and quality of life will be assessed before and after the program. The study aims to determine whether live supervision provides additional benefits compared with prerecorded exercise videos.
